You can’t leave from Lefkada if you haven’t taste island’s traditional recipes and of course the fresh fish!! In Vassiliki you are going to find Greek traditional dishes in little tavernas, in Sivota and Agios Nikitas you will discover fresh fish, seafood and “savoro” (fish with herbs, raisins and garlic). For multi ethnic cuisine and you will go to Nydri and in the town of Lefkada.

Wherever you go, you’ll discover local products such as “Eglouvis lentils”, salamis and spicy sausages, olive oil, citrus, honey (made by thyme), olive pie and wine. Lefkas Island produces the Vertzamo, a sweet wine very known in Greece. Except from the wine, you should try some of the aromatic liqueurs, such as: rosoli, mint and rose, as well as the soft drink of almond, called soymada. For the end comes the sweets such as madolato and pasteli (nougat and caramelized sesame seeds with honey)
